Martín Oliveros

Biography

Martín Oliveros Heinze (Buenos Aires, 1986) lived in Costa Rica for 8 years where he studied and shot several short films, among them “Radio Paraíso” (2008) (Lebu International Film Festival, Punta del Este International Short Film Festival, Film Contest and Young video of Irun, FENACO, VIART film and video festival, etc) and “Antonio” (2010) supported by the Spanish Cultural Center and premiered in Madrid (Festival Alocortito).

Currently lives in Berlin since 2010 where he filmed the short films “Desiertos” (2012), “Lux” (2014), the web series “You Me We” (2015) awarded at Rome Web Awards and Sicily Web Fest, and was also awarded in the Tender Metropolis contest for best short film script for “Stone Soup” (2017).

His last works have been “Paulina, the Old Man and the Turtle” (2018) awarded in the Latin Awards in Spain for best script and photography (also official selection of Icaro International Film Festival, Shnit International Shortfilmfestival, International Film Festival of Guayaquil , Sose International Film Festival, Ferfilm Festival, Dea Open Air International Film Festival, etc) and his latest short film “On the Imperfection of the Geological Record” (2019) premieres in March 2019 at the oscar qualifier REGARD festival – Saguenay International Short Film Festival.
